Led a team that delivered proactive community engagement services prior to a $1.2 billion bond referendum (2025 dollars), designed to gain community support. After successful passage of the referendum, we then led the design and implementation of a multifaceted communications program to establish and maintain positive community support during the four-year construction program.

Our work for HISD demonstrates our ability to strategically partner with an owner/operator on a multi-year infrastructure program, both prior to community referendum approval and throughout the four-year construction program.
State Tax Advisors
After a six-month leave of absence, the CEO of a tax advisory service retained our consulting services to create excitement and optimism in anticipation of his return.
To drive a new PR strategy for the firm’s internal and external audiences, we completed the following actions:

Assessed State Tax Advisors’ brand through qualitative surveys to their top 100 customers which yielded insight into customers’ perceptions.

Developed and implemented first communication plan in the history of the 13-year-old company.

FirstWind Energy
As a start-up wind power company, FirstWind needed to enhance their brand and positioning to reflect their next step as a newly emerging company.
To win over communities where they planned to build wind farms, we accomplished the following actions:

Planned and executed grassroots PR campaigns in rural towns where met with opposition.

Centralized eight wind farm websites to one corporate website, including implementation of content management system (CMS).

Coordinated with legal team to ensure correct documentation was in compliance with state and federal regulations as wind farms went live.
The company grew from a clean sheet of paper to $1.5 billion equity value when FirstWind sold to SunEdison.
